Age

Only applicants born on or after October 01, 1992 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board / University Certificate [Class X or equivalent] or any certificate issued by the Government authorities only will be taken as authentic

Academic Eligibility

Applicant must have passed the qualifying examination, i.e. Senior Secondary [10+2] or equivalent [See Appendix I] from any system of education as recognized by the Association of Indian Universities(www.aiuweb.org).
AND

Applicant should have completed successfully Mathematics, Physics and one of the subjects from (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology) in 11th AND / OR 12th, as applicable in the respective boards
AND

Applicant must have secured a minimum of at least 60% aggregate marks (average of all subjects of qualifying examination taken together) or 6.50 CGPA (on a 10 point scale) or equivalent in the qualifying examination. In case, CGPA on a different scale is awarded OR if only grades are awarded, percentage/CGPA equivalence provided by the principal examination authorities will only be considered. Applicants appearing for the qualifying examination with the above-mentioned subjects in the academic year 2017-18 and expecting their final results latest by September 15, 2017 may also apply.
AND

Applicant should have a minimum total valid score of 1800 in SAT Subject Tests (Subjects: Mathematics Level 2, Physics and Chemistry).

Residential Requirement

All foreign nationals studying in any country including India or Indian nationals studying abroad who fulfill prescribed admission criteria shall be eligible.

Prescribed admission criteria for Indian Nationals shall be at least two years of education, inclusive of 11th & 12th or equivalent (not beyond), in a foreign country during the last 8 years and must pass the qualifying examination from abroad.

Academic Eligibility

Applicants must have passed the qualifying examination i.e. Four/Five year undergraduate programme in Engineering/Technology or equivalent in relevant discipline for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan./M.Des./MURP and an appropriate UG degree for MBA programme from any stream of education recognized as equivalent by the Association of Indian Universities (www.aiuweb.org) / UGC (www.ugc.ac.in) / AICTE (www.aicte-india.org) / other statutory bodies as applicable.
AND

Must have secured a minimum of at least 60% aggregate marks or 6.50 CGPA on a 10 point scale or equivalent in the qualifying examination. In case, CGPA on a different scale is awarded OR if only grades are awarded, percentage/CGPA equivalence provided by the principal examination authorities will only be considered. Applicants appearing for the qualifying examination in the academic year 2017-18 and expecting their final results latest by September 15, 2017 may also apply. Some M.Tech. Programmes have special conditions for eligibility which are listed on the DASA website www.dasanit.org. The applicant has to check these conditions and he/she will be responsible for satisfying these conditions.
AND

Must have a valid minimum total of 300 GRE Revised General Test Score (Verbal + Quantitative) (GRE General tests taken on or after August 01, 2013) for eligibility for M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan./M.Des. and minimum of 480 GMAT Test Score for MBA programme. If GRE was taken prior to August 01, 2013 a valid minimum score of 1200 (Verbal + Quantitative) is required. GRE test score has to be sent directly through ETS to VNIT Nagpur (Institute Code: 2110 ). GMAT Score is also to be sent directly from GMAC to VNIT Nagpur (Institute code: 6C3 ). GRE and GMAT test scores received till June 29, 2017 only will be considered for preparation of merit list.

Foreign Nationals, PIOs, OCIs who have completed undergraduate programme in any country (including India).
OR

Indian Nationals who have completed their undergraduate programme outside India.
OR

Indian Nationals who have acquired NRI status and holding it for the last three years after obtaining undergraduate degree from India.

Indian Nationals who have completed undergraduate programme in any CFTI under the DASA Scheme.
OR

Indian Nationals who have completed undergraduate programme in India but have completed their 11th and 12th standard (or equivalent) from outside India.

Revised CIWG Fees for UG admissions, DASA 2017
As per the F.No.41-12/2017-TS. III GOI MHRD dated 14th June 2017, CIWG fees for UG DASA 2017 has been revised to Rs. 125000/- per student per annum, payable either in Indian Rupees (INR) or equivalent US Dollars at existing exchange rate. It has been decided to give the provision to unlock the application of all applicants from 15th June, 2017 18:00 IST to 19th June, 2017 18:00 IST. If NRI applicants decides to switch the category, applicant is requested to login on DASA 2017 website, unlock the application, switch into the respective category, refill the academic program choices, upload appropriate documents and finally submit the application on or before 19th of June, 2017 18:00 IST. Other applicants can also edit/add academic program choices. To accommodate this change, DASA timeline has been rescheduled. Now the first round of seat allotment will be done on 30th June, 2017. Applicants are requested to refer the new timeline on the DASA 2017 website. The details on the refund mechanism resulting from reduced fee structure for CIWG will be communicated on the DASA website after completion of the admission process.

DASA applicants(UG) who have taken 6th May, 2017 SAT and/or want to upgrade their earlier scores are advised to send the SAT scores to VNIT (Institute code:7035) by the RUSH mechanism only. All Scores which are received before 23:59 HRS (IST) 12th June, 2017 by DASA office will only be considered for the first three rounds. Applicants are requested to check their application home page on regular basis. No individual communication will be entertained for the same till 19th June, 2017.

As per the communication received from Delhi Technological University, there is a merger of B. Tech. EEE seats in B. Tech. EE from the academic session 2017. Hence there shall be no admissions for B.Tech. EEE from academic session 2017. DASA applicants who have selected B.Tech. EEE in their choice selection will be considered only for B. Tech. EE. For further information contact DTU.

As per order F. No. 35-9/2016-TS. III, Government of India, MHRD, Department of Higher Education dated 22nd May, 2017, the residential criteria for UG admissions under DASA 2017 has been changed as follows:
“Prescribed admission criteria for Indian Nationals shall be at least two years of education, inclusive of 11th and 12th or equivalent (not beyond), in a foreign country during the last 8 years and must pass the qualifying examination from abroad.”
The above relaxation will be applicable for the academic year 2017-2018 only.

CIWG seat allotment mechanism:
As per the directives of the core committee of DASA 2017 in its meeting held on 11th May 2017 at New Delhi, the candidates belonging to CIWG category are entitled to get only CIWG seats and other candidates will get only non-CIWG seats. After 4th round of counseling, the vacant seats if any under CIWG quota shall be reverted to other category of DASA 2017. Applicants are requested to check their emails regularly and contact DASA office if they have any further queries regarding CIWG seat allotment.

Parents, living in India or abroad can pay prescribed fees in Equivalent Indian Rupees with Exchange Rate Certificate. Please refer UG Brochure 2.3.1.

The institute code of VNIT Nagpur for GMAT score is 6C3.

Applicants should arrange to send SAT Subject Test Scores directly from College Board, USA, to Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology Nagpur (Institute Code: 7035 ) so as to reach Coordinator, DASA Office, Administrative Block, VNIT Nagpur, Maharashtra, 440010, India on or before 23:59 HRS (IST) 12th June, 2017.

UIET Chandigarh and Dr. SSBUICE Chandigarh has withdrawn from DASA-2017 counselling.

Welcome to DASA 2017

The admissions to various UG and PG programmes of premier Institutes of India under the DASA scheme will be coordinated by Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology Nagpur INDIA for the year 2017-18.
DASA 2017 does not allow multiple applications from the same applicant irrespective of the category. An applicant with multiple applications will lose his candidature for the DASA admissions 2017.
Urgent: Updated Employer certificate for CIWG applicants who have resubmitted the application.

Registration date for new applicants for UG DASA 2017 is extended
In terms of the GoI MHRD F.No.41-12/2017-TS. III dated 16th June 2017, consequent to revision in CIWG fees for UG DASA 2017 to Rs. 1,25,000/- per student per annum; it has been decided to reopen the registration of DASA for UG students (who have not applied before 12th June, 2017) with immediate effect till midnight of 22nd June, 2017 (Thursday). All the applicants are hereby advised to check the revised timeline of DASA UG admissions updated on 16th June, 2017.
Note:
1. New applicants are advised to send the SAT scores to VNIT (Institute code:7035) by the RUSH mechanism only. All Scores which are received before 23:59 HRS (IST) 22nd June, 2017 by DASA office will only be considered for the first two rounds.
2. The payment should be made by new applicants as follows:
(a) For CIWG category: Prescribed tuition fee per year is Rs. 1,25,000/-(Rupees one lakh twenty five thousand only). Applicants are required to pay Rs. 82,500/- [50% of the tuition fee i.e., Rs. 62,500/- plus registration fee USD 300 (INR equivalent Rs. 20,000/- only)]. The fees should be paid by NEFT/ RTGS only.
(b) For all other categories: Prescribed tuition fee per year is USD 8000. Applicants are required to pay USD 4300 [50% of the tuition fee i.e., USD 4000 plus registration fee USD 300]. The fees should be paid through e-payment by payment gateway only, which is provided in the online application portal itself.

  2. The GRE score for admission in 2017-18 is to be sent to VNIT Nagpur. The code is 2110.
